To add a stable standard ip address to a EC2 Instance do these steps
- Go the EC2 Service
- In the left navbar click on Network & Security > Elastic IPs
- Click on Allocate IPs. A dialog box opens
- In the tags area, add the tag
- env: procurated2
- Name: procurated2
- Click Allocate
- The instance appears in the Elastic ips list
- Click on the name field and name the Elastic ip to match the bettrdata instance <something).bettrdata.io
- Click on the instance address link
- Click on Associate Elastic IP address
- Find the EC2 instance you want and add it
Adding IP Addess to GoDaddy
NOTE: Make sure to remove domain name from /etc/hosts if temporarily put there
