Create Client

This is one of the first steps when setting up better data. The client is one of the base attributes of any piece of data that is processed through Bettrdata, and all data will have a client owner.

To create a client, do these steps:

  1. In the left navigation bar choose Data Source
  2. Click on the Data Owners from the top navigation tabs, if not already selected
  3. Click on the New button
  4. Enter the name of the client and click save.

One of the typical steps are to set up alerts for client. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. In the same client page click on the three dots on the far right and choose Contact
  2. Click the Add button to add a contact
  3. Enter the contact's first and last name, their email (and company as applicable)
  4. Checkbox any of the alerts that make sense. This is usually Email Convert Failure, but could include file receipt and integration runs.
  5. Close the dialog box and then click the Save button next to the client to save.
