BettrData matchcodes are built using postal components via address standardization and normalized name components.

If an address is different, the corresponding household and individual matchcodes will differ as well.
For an address that is DPV=Y (USPS deliverable), an address matchcode will get you to the deliverable address without fail.
For a non-deliverable address, the available address components are standardized and used to build a best representation of that address. In this scenario, given equal inputs, the process is deterministic.
BettrData uses a proprietary algorithm to standardize given names and surnames and their semantic similarities. This process can be customized, including nickname resolution, etc.
