Configuration of Datasource for Fabric

Prerequisites

An administrator in Fabric will need to create the connection user for BettrData Select to be able to successfully be configured

Configuration

Once the administrator has provided the details to connect to Fabric, set up in BettrData is straightforward. It includes items for:

Tenant ID
Client ID
Database
Server
Password

The below screen illustrates how the configurations are added in Bettrdata.

The location of the set up screen in Bettrdata is:

Left Navigation Bar > Datasources
Top Navigation Bar > BD Select Sources
If it is a new datasource, click on the Create Select Source button.
In the dialob box, add in:

Name: Choose an appropriate name for the datasource
Description: Write in a description of what the datasource will be used for
Table: Set to "none"

Select the newly created datasource item in the navigation bar

Enter the Fabric credentials

Choose save to finish
