Group and User Administration

Introduction

Groups and Users are the basic form of access control in Bettrdata, and it is likely that there will be multiple groups in the instance and potentially more than one group assigned to a user. Set up of groups affects multiple functions in the Bettrdata app accessibility and can be fine grained by area of application and also of data owner.

Administration

This tour will go over the aspects of group access and how to configure them. The main areas of group access include

  • Group and User administration
  • System Administration
  • Bettrdata Ingest Administration
  • Bettrdata Select Administration
  • User Administration

We will walk through each of these. At the top of the administration chain are super users. They will have access to all functions and views, and as such granting access to super user should be carefully considered. All group administration is found in the location:

Adminstration > User Management
